Our job is to understand what you want to see and pass by or stop at a specific location to offer you the best suggestive and knowledgeable tour of the Eternal City.

Your reserved driver will pick you up next to your cruise ship at 7am or 8am. After about 1.5 hours (depending on traffic) you will arrive at your first stop, St. Peter’s Square rebuilt and redesigned thanks to Gian Lorenzo Bernini between 1656 and 1667.

St. Peter’s Basilica

The visit to the St. Peter’s Basilica is the visit that will take you to discover the mother church of all churches. We begin the visit to the St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest basilica in the world, whose total area exceeds 15 thousand square meters. We will admire Michelangelo’s Pietà, the exposed body of Pope John XXIII and the tomb of the Holy Father John Paul II and the magnificent mosaic works by great artists and the bronze canopy by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

Here’s an indisputable truth: no trip to Rome is complete without a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica. This huge religious, monumental and artistic complex is a masterpiece of the first order of the Mother Church of all churches! We begin the visit to the St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest basilica in the world, whose total area exceeds 15 thousand square meters.

In the St. Peter’s Basilica you can admire Michelangelo’s Pietà. The entire basilica is decorated with magnificent mosaics by the great artists of the Vatican School of Mosaics, the Baldacchino, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, is in solid bronze.

Saint Peter’s Square

We continue with the visit to the Vatican Crypts, which is a unique and evocative complex for many historical memories. In the Crypt we find the tomb of Saint Peter, the tombs of several Popes, including that of Pope Boniface VIII, famous for creating the Jubilee.

The crypt is also rich in artwork from the ancient basilica of San Pietro, commissioned by Emperor Constantine in the 4th century. We will conclude the visit to the center of Christianity in St. Peter’s Square, a work by the great master Gian Lorenzo Bernini created in 1661.

Pantheon

You can continue your visit to the second stop, the Pantheon. Roman architecture doesn’t get much more inspiring than the Pantheon. Standing on the Campo de Marte (Field of Mars), outside the city walls where the Roman army used to train, the Pantheon was the centerpiece of an elaborate monumental theme park that marked Rome’s transition from a city of brick to a city of marble.

The Pantheon’s famous dome, still the largest free-standing dome in the world, and the temple’s imposing colonnade are now among the Eternal City’s best-known icons. But they mask a building with a terribly complicated history, which even the ancients writing 200 years after the Pantheon’s completion were debating.

We will continue our tour through Piazza Navona, built on the ancient stadium of Diocletian that was used for athletic competitions. Today you can admire the Fountain of the Four Rivers, the Fountain of Neptune and the Church of Saint Agnes in Agony in Navona square. The stop you can’t miss is the Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre), you will travel along the Fori Imperiali to Piazza Venezia where you can admire the Vittoriano and the balcony from which Benito Mussolini declared the Second World War against France and Great Britain.

We guarantees a chauffeured service in Civitavecchia Port, every days, every hours

Soon after, Via del Corso, we will take you to the Trevi Fountain, by Nicola Salvi. The artist was responsible for building the fountain in the 18th century after winning a competition organized by Pope Clement XII. Then, your driver will accompany you to Piazza Spagna, where you can admire the famous Spanish Steps and Pietro Bernini’s La Barcaccia Fountain, continuing to Piazza del Popolo and its obelisk.

The tour will end at 15:30 / 16:00, when we will return to the Port of Civitavecchia. You will be ready to board and continue your cruise around 5pm.
